📦 Fulfillment Update – More Parcels Shipped & Everything Running Smoothly! ✨💌

Hi everyone! 💖

Just popping in with another fulfillment update for this campaign! 🎄✨

Since the first batch was dispatched, we’ve continued shipping more parcels regularly behind the scenes — and we’re really happy to say that everything has been going smoothly so far! 🥹📦💨


The restored BackerKit ↔ Shopify connection has been continuously working properly so far and has made the process much faster and less stressful for us compared to the manual workaround we originally feared we’d have to use 😭💻✨

Many more rewards have now been packed, labeled, and shipped during these past weeks, and we’re continuing to work through the remaining batches 💪💌

📬 Little reminders:
  • once your parcel ships, you’ll automatically receive your shipping confirmation email + tracking;

  • Some tracking updates may take a little time to appear depending on the destination country and local postal processing;

  • if your survey/payment is still incomplete, please make sure to finalize it as soon as possible so we can include you in upcoming batches!


We also want to genuinely thank you again for how patient, understanding, and supportive everyone has been throughout this whole process 🥹❤️

After the bumpy start, it feels really good to finally be in the “things are moving” phase: parcels are leaving the studio, the system is cooperating, and we can actually see the fulfillment queue getting lighter  🎉

We still have more packages to go, but we’re steadily progressing and we’ll continue sharing updates as fulfillment moves forward! ✨📦

Fulfillment Update – Connection Fixed & First Batch Shipping Tomorrow 🎉📦

Hi everyone,
We finally have a really good update to share for this campaign.

After months of work and many failed attempts, we were able to successfully restore the BackerKit / Shopify connection on our side, thanks also in large part to the help and guidance of the BackerKit team ❤️

Because of that, the first batch of pledges we were already packing has now also been labeled successfully through the restored connection, and we no longer had to create those labels manually one by one as we were thinking 🥹🎉

The restored connection made this step much faster and smoother for us than the manual fallback route would have been, and we are incredibly relieved.

This first batch of parcels is now ready, and it will be dispatched tomorrow!

Thank you again so much for your patience through such a frustrating delay on a campaign that, again, was originally supposed to be one of the quickest and simplest for us to fulfill.

Anyways, once this first batch has been dispatched, we will keep proceeding with the following batches step by step as well!

Fulfillment Update – First Parcels Are Being Packed 📦

Hi everyone,
We just wanted to share a new fulfillment progress update for this campaign.

The packing of the first selected segment of backers is currently underway, and tomorrow we will begin manually creating/shipping labels one by one for the parcels prepared in this first group.


Once that manual labeling step is completed, these parcels will begin moving into dispatch.

This is still a slower and more manual process than we ever wanted for this campaign, but at least we’re very relieved to finally be moving forward in a concrete way 💝

Fulfillment Update – Still Working on the Fix, Manual Shipping Starting

 Hi everyone,
We wanted to share another fulfillment check-in for this campaign.

We’ve spent a lot of time working through the workaround shared with us by the BackerKit team, but unfortunately we still have not been able to get it working successfully on our side yet.
We know this workaround seems to have worked for some creators, but not for others. Unfortunately, we are currently among the ones it still has not worked for — and we still do not have a clear answer as to why. 

Shopify also continues not to provide replies, neither to us nor to BackerKit, which has made this situation even more frustrating and exhausting.

At this point, we are going to start manually shipping some pledges by hand in the meantime. (Backers whose pledges are shipped will receive the usual shipping confirmation email with tracking). This is simply to make sure the campaign does not remain completely frozen while we continue working on the platform issue.
It is obviously not the ideal or scalable solution, and it will be much slower on our side, but we would rather start moving at least part of this campaign forward than keep it fully blocked while the technical issue remains unresolved.

We are still continuing to push on the workaround/integration side as well, and we will keep sharing confirmed progress as each part of fulfillment moves forward.


We know this campaign was supposed to be one of the quickest and simplest for us to fulfill, especially since the items were already in hand from the start, and we are truly sorry that it has instead turned into such a long and frustrating wait.

Fulfillment Update – Possible Workaround Found

Hi everyone,
We wanted to share a new fulfillment update for this campaign!

After being blocked for quite some time by the Shopify / BackerKit connection issue, we may have finally found a possible workaround thanks to additional guidance from the BackerKit team ❤️

At the moment, this workaround is still in beta territory and hasn’t yet been used on a real project, so we need to test it carefully on our side first. Because of that, we can’t promise success just yet — but we wanted to let you know that there is finally a possible path forward, and we should be able to tell you in the next few days whether it works for us in practice!

If it does, we’ll be able to finally start shipping this campaign's rewards 🥹
This block honestly couldn’t have come at a worse time. This campaign was meant to be a quick and simple campaign to fulfill promptly, especially since the items were already in hand from the beginning. Instead, this platform issue ended up delaying a campaign that should have been one of the most straightforward ones to send out, and we’re truly sorry for that. Honestly, we’re exhausted by how many unexpected hiccups keep piling up everywhere... 

We also know we’re not the only creators who have been affected by this issue. BackerKit actually went as far as building a dedicated app specifically for Shopify in response to their platform changes, which shows how serious and widespread this problem has been. Unfortunately, they are still waiting for Shopify’s approval on their side, and they have not been given a timeline yet either.

In the meantime, they shared this new workaround with us so we can try to move forward rather than remain completely stuck, if it works. That said, as they also explained to us, it is still very much in beta territory and involves quite a few steps, so it’s not the most ideal solution and we’re still actively working through it on our side.

We’ve also directly complained to Shopify ourselves (something even the BackerKit team encouraged us to do) pointing out that deprecating custom apps directly interferes with creators’ ability to properly use their service. Changes like this have a very real impact on how creators are able to manage fulfillment and keep orders moving

We’re mortified that this has taken so long for a campaign that was supposed to be fast and easy, and we’re incredibly grateful for your patience.

We understand that delays can be frustrating, and we don’t expect everyone to feel positive about the situation. We simply ask that any questions, concerns, or criticism be shared with patience and kindness, as there are real people behind this project doing their best to move things forward through a very difficult situation. 


We’ll update you again in the next few days or once we know whether this workaround is successful and whether fulfillment can finally begin!
